Kench Hill Centre is an elegant, homely Georgian mansion set amongst beautiful gardens in Kent countryside. It has hosted London Borough of Hackney’s school journeys for over 40 years, providing high quality, safe and fun educational activities for all pupils. It is run by The Kench Hill Charity, working in partnership with Hackney Education. The Centre is open all year, including holidays and weekends. We welcome day and residential visits from a diverse range of groups, for formal and informal educational purposes. We are also available for hire to families and groups looking for a relaxed venue for special occasions, events and training – from wedding receptions to weekend breaks. All are welcome, while Hackney residents and employees can take advantage of discounted rates.
The Centre is an ideal location to teach National Curriculum subjects, especially Science, Geography and Design Technology, as well as providing a stimulus for creative art and craft activities. Our expert staff can devise and help teach a programme tailored to your needs, or advise you in developing your own programme using our facilities, including a 17-seater minibus.
