Our cooks prepare delicious healthy, nutritionally balanced home cooked meals, using fresh local ingredients, including produce from our own kitchen garden. We follow ‘Healthy Schools’ guidelines and encourage young visitors to eat plenty of salad, fruits and vegetables. No fried chicken and chips! Many of our menu options are vegetarian or vegan, and we can cater for most dietary needs, including allergies and halal, provided we are sent information in advance. We cannot provide menu choices for each meal, but do prepare alternatives where necessary. On day trips children prepare their own sandwiches. Our tap water for is excellent drinking quality. We encourage all visitors to help protect the environment by minimising waste and reduce packaging. All food waste is composted on-site.
