Kench Hill offers a wide range of exciting and inspirational outdoor activity based day visits for local school, home school and community group day visits. All activities are strongly linked to the National curriculum and are taught with a cross curricular learner led approach. On booking a member of our tutor team will arrange a meeting with your class teacher or group leader to plan learning intentions for the day build a bespoke activity time table tailored to your groups objectives and needs.

Activities on offer include:

  • Shelter building and bushcraft
  • Mad about MiniBeasts
  • Animal adaptations / Meet the Animals (Ponies, chickens, rabbits)
  • Raft-Building
  • Orienteering (KS1/2)
  • Environmental art
  • Team games and problem solving 
  • Local adventure walk through a range of farmland, fields, woodland and stream!
  • WW2 day
  • Anglo-Saxon Day
  • Circus skills
  • Escape rooms 

If needed the Centre can provide mini bus shuttles to and from school at a small charge. 

A day trip will be from 10:00-15:00 and include a half hour lunch break.  Half-day visits are also possible. The cost is bespoke for each booking depending on the group size, number of activities and tutors needed – from £12 per pupil/day. Eg For a class of 30 the cost will be £250 for 1 tutor for the day or if the class were to split for smaller group activities and need 2 tutors this will be £350.

All of the Kench Hill tutors are passionate about environmental education and have a background in teaching and environmental education. All staff hold current DBS and first aid certificates.
